We've gotten a quote from Marshall's, signed the contract, mailed off the 50% down payment. So we should have our new furnace...

In a week and a half. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

I brought home the quartz radiant heater from Club Mud, to help Denise keep warm. I'm sitting under the covers in bed, with t-shirt, flannel, sweat shirt and wool hat. Two pairs of socks. Had to take off the fingerless gloves; too hard to type in them.

I finished the last drawing of my Inktober book yesterday morning, and I almost feel like I should keep going. That fifteen minutes of quiet time after breakfast every morning was wonderfully calming in the midst of pottery deadlines, furnace mishaps, and the total trashfire that was the presidential election. Don't know that I will--it's also awfully freeing to be out of the commitment--but I'm glad kept with it.

Pretty much all the shelves in my studio are full, after two weeks of concentrated throwing. Blew through all of the recycled clay, about 300 lbs., plus another couple of boxes of new clay. If I can get enough of it dry that I can load a bisque kiln, I'll have things to glaze when I get home from Clayfolk.

If.
